    Pretty as a Peach

    21st July 2015 /

How pretty are doughnut (Saturn) peaches!?  Beautiful oblong globes of velvety smooth sweetness and they smell divine too!! But there is the fact that they look like squishy little butt’s…  ohh but they’re so tasty!  Whenever I’m shopping, I can’t resist a punnet and most of the time, they’re hard and under ripe so most of the time I let them ripen and more often, completely  forgetting about them and they spoil… I was determined not to let this happen last week, they were just on the verge of becoming over ripe so I decided to bake them! I cut them in half, pulled out the little stones and placed…

We All Scream For Ice Cream!

    19th July 2015 /

So there’s this huge campaign that Magnum are doing at the moment, ‘The  Make My Magnum Experience’, it’s been in Amsterdam, New York, Paris, Sydney and now DUBLIN!!! I love a good ice cream, my favourite is lemon Gelato, with the little bits of zest in it? I had my first one in Naples when I was a teenager and fell in love!  But technically, a Gelato is not an ice cream! However, NOTHING beats Magnum Ice cream, divine Belgian Chocolate, vanilla ice cream that you know is quality as you can see the Vanilla seeds in throughout the ice cream and don’t get me started on that satin smooth…

    Recipe: Healthy ‘Chocolate’ Balls

    11th July 2015 /

I’ve been eating a little healthier of late and I’m a little addicted to a new treat bar called Nakd Cocoa Delight, which is a wheat free, dairy free & gluten free. If you’re unfamiliar, I will admit, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, it’s a compressed fruit bar that’s been mixed with cocoa and formed to look like a chocolate or fudge bar. Nakd bars are generally kind of expensive, so I looked at the ingredients and set about trying to make my own. I was delighted with the result and I have been taking them to work every day as a sweet treat to enjoy after my salad…

    Review: Dr.Oetker Mug Cake Mix

    10th July 2015 /

I was doing some shopping the other night and I always have a nosey in the baking section y’know, to see what’s new…, baking is what I do after all! I noticed some new Dr.Oetker products, lemon & chocolate cupcake centers and then there was the Mug Cakes. Now, I know the trend at the moment for mug cakes, there are loads of them on social media, every different shape and style. I’m normally a bit of a food snob and cannot abide anything that comes ready made in a sachet where you “just add milk”- apart from cereal or porridge that is! Curiosity definitely got the better of me…

Liebster Awards: 11, the lucky number

    1st July 2015 /

Has anyone heard of Liebster Awards? Essentially, they’re a chain system for bloggers to help them get noticed by readers and by other bloggers.  You’re nominated by someone that admires your blog, you answer the eleven questions given and then create your own eleven questions, then, pay it forward! But you must hyperlink to all the blogs you mention and the blogger who nominated you. I wasn’t so familiar with the process, I had heard of it but didn’t know what it involved. Then one day I was nominated by Margaret from  MagsStyle blog and then two others nominated me, within a week! THREE NOMINATIONS!! 🙂 I think it’s…
