Wellbeing Week: Ridding The Toxins for Something More Organic

    29th May 2017 /

I know I’ve written passionately before about harsh chemicals and things like silicone in shampoo, my 5 Steps to heavenly Hair for example. After being further educated on such matters, I realised I’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to beauty products that are more harmful than good. I met up with a beauty expert & what she had to say about ingredients like petroleum and Sodium Lauryl Sulphates(SLS) was rather terrifying and had me rifling through my beauty cabinet and filling up a large rubbish bag… Sodium lauryl sulphate , a chemical added to soaps and shampoo’s (to break down molecules & make them lather),…

    New Shoes???

    18th May 2017 /

It’s officially wedding season and whilst I don’t have a wedding to go to this year, I do have some events to attend-like the Dublin Horse Show in August. I like to pull out all the stops for the horse show, hat rental, new outfit, gloves and my hair up-styled. The Horse Show is the one event I hate to miss! I’ve been going since I was a child but Ladies Day is my secret pleasure, dressing up like a proper lady, enjoying champagne and fine food and watching the most beautiful horses do their thing! It’s marvelous… perhaps even afternoon tea at the Intercontinental hotel next door…. It’s about…

    Recipe:Vegetarian Dahl (Video)

    10th May 2017 /

We all try to eat healthier these days,  and with trendy healthy restaurants popping up everywhere, some are charging almost ten Euro for a small cup of Dahl with nothing else, why not save a few bucks by making a big pot of it yourself? Lentil Dahl is protein packed, full of vitamins and you can make a pot full for less than a fiver! There are no rules and you can customize it how you like it! My Mum showed me how to make this when I was a teenager, we’d always add minced beef to it and serve it with a little rice on a Friday night and…

Review: The Burrito Box Greystones – No Horsing About Here!

    7th May 2017 /

I know, I’ve been eating as cleanly as possible lately, avoiding meat, carbs and sugar, following a Keto’ based diet…but yesterday being Saturday, I decided to have a little treat.. So here’s me being really healthy, having lost almost 14lbs since Easter, my dresses feeling nicely loose again and well…..the tummy feeling less “Wobbly” as I get closer to my target where I join Pilates… My colleague started banging on about this new Burrito place down at the Greystones Marina and by the end of the day, I was positively salivating!!! So I went down after work to check it out! The Boat Yard in Greystones is fast becoming a…
