The National Gallery Refurbishment & Vermeer Exhibition

    13th July 2017 /

I’ve always been a bit of an Art History buff, regularly visiting the National Gallery when I have time and I was really excited when they completed the work on the Dargan Wing and forecourt at the gallery. The re-opening was on my birthday so I didn’t get around to visiting until the following week. Normally on my birthday, I dress up in a pretty dress & heels, go in to town on the D.A.R.T, treat myself to a Laduree treat, box of Macaron’s or whatever I feel like,  fresh flowers and a trip to the National Gallery. This year, Ryan surprised me with tickets to see Evita at the…

    Killruddery House: Inside The Orangerie

    12th July 2017 /

I had to do something to come down from the party excitement, so whilst Norma from The House That Will was staying with me for the Birthday celebrations, I shared a favourite secret location of mine with her, Killruddery House. We woke up the day after the party with very sore heads, the sun belting in the window, Norma is like me, and old soul that appreciates beautiful things and Great Irish Houses and gardens. Norma had only heard me mention Killruddery but had never been there, often traveling to Wicklow with her Husband to places like Mount Usher. The Hell and Back event was happening on the estate so…

40th Birthday Party: Tapas and Heatwaves

    12th July 2017 /

I am so sorry it’s been a couple of weeks since my last post, ever feel like everything is happening so fast around you that you can’t catch a second to catch your breath? If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know I also work full time as we edge ever so closer to completing our house deposit save. I took a week off work to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday, we had a bit of a joint party because our birthdays are two days apart- we’re basically the same person, both Gemini and being married almost 7 years, we’ve never had one argument, not one! Anyway, as his wifey, I…

    Hello again!

    5th July 2017 /

Hi guys, it’s been a couple of weeks, sorry for the lack of posts but I have been all over the place, trust me! My husband recently turned 40 and myself 35, I was planning a big party for the two of us and it was a fantastic evening, it also happened to be the hottest day of the year and of course I made a chocolate cake- that was fun let me tell you(not)! I took the week off work to try and get our apartment sorted, well, I told myself it would take two days but who was I kidding, I was bleaching voile curtains, shampooing the rugs,…
